I want to try everything! This week's most-clicked post was Rainbow Rolls by Astrid of Lunches Fit For A Kid - aren't they gorgeous?
I'm not convinced Astrid isn't some kind of rainbow witch... and if I, a mere mortal, tried to make any of her rainbow bread stuff, things could go awry... like the Sorcerer's Apprentice, but more colourful :)

Yesterday was the first day of our Spring Break :) It was a sunny blue sky day, but blustery and cold, so the art activity I had planned to do outside was done in the kitchen instead. We made rainbow coffee filter butterflies. I have been wanting to make them for a while, kept saving medicine droppers as the bottles emptied... and Sailor Boy, not knowing I was collecting them, kept throwing them out! A lesson in communication for me :)
I mixed a lot of food colouring into a little water and the sproutlets dropped it on to the coffee filters. Everyone got into this activity, even 10 year old Beanstalk.
We hung them on the clothesline to dry. Beautiful!
They didn't take long to dry in that wind! Next we folded them accordian-style, twisted a pipe cleaner around the middle, and fanned them out into butterflies.
We taped our brilliant rainbow butterflies to our front window. I love how springy they look with the cherry blossoms in the background :)
I didn't make a rainbow lunch - everybody got plain old peanut butter sandwiches today - I guess I'm on Spring Break too :)
